Team

A team for a complex challenge

International product labelling requires technical understanding and deep expertise. That is why IMERO brings together AI experts, software developers, and state-certified food chemists.

Part of our expert team previously worked in official food inspection, where they reviewed the labelling of food products. This practical experience feeds into the development of our software, the structure of our review processes, and the professional assessment of results.

01

AI and Software Development

Our technology team develops specialised systems that capture, structure, compare, translate, and prepare label content for further processing.

02

Food Chemistry and Labelling

Our expert team assesses mandatory information, ingredients, allergens, nutritional values, claims, warnings, and other labelling elements, bringing experience from the practical review of food labels.

03

Human-in-the-Loop

In the Expert Service, AI-generated results are reviewed and supplemented by specialists. The prepared results support internal assessment, coordination, and approval processes.

Technology structures complexity. Expertise contextualises results. Responsibility remains with those accountable.

Why IMERO

With every product, pack size, and market, complexity increases

A label brings together numerous pieces of information in a limited space. These include product name, ingredients, allergens, nutritional values, claims, warnings, symbols, translations, units of measurement, font sizes, and placement.

As soon as multiple products, packaging variants, languages, and target countries are added, the research, review, and coordination effort grows. Quality management, regulatory, export, design, translation, and external partners must consolidate information and process changes in a traceable manner.

Mission

Our mission: making international product labelling more manageable

We want to help companies identify regulatory and organisational hurdles early and organise labelling processes more efficiently. Teams should not have to repeatedly gather information from separate sources, but should be able to process tasks centrally, in a structured and traceable manner.

Our goal is not to replace responsibility. We create tools and professional support that relieve quality management, regulatory, export, and internationalisation teams in their daily work.

Technology should structure complexity – decisions remain in responsible hands.

Our Approach

Specialised AI. Traceable steps. Expert review.

IMERO was developed for the specific workflows of international product labelling. The technology combines structured product information, country-specific labelling questions, translations, and professional processing in a single shared process.

01

Provide information

Labels and product information are provided digitally and consolidated for processing.

02

Structure content

The IMERO AI organises data, compares content, and flags potential ambiguities or further review needs.

03

Process requirements

Teams can centrally research and document country-specific labelling requirements, sources, translations, and open questions.

04

Re-use results

The prepared content supports internal coordination, collaboration with agencies, and further approval steps.

Specialised, not generic

The IMERO technology is focused on labelling processes for food and cosmetics.

Traceable, not scattered

Information, sources, and processing steps are consolidated centrally and can be further processed internally.

Expert review when needed

Companies can work with the software themselves or have results reviewed and supplemented by specialists in the Expert Service.

Our Story

From TU Munich to Halle (Saale)

IMERO was founded as a spin-off from the Technical University of Munich. The founders shared the conviction that product labelling should not permanently rely on manual research, separate documents, and recurring coordination loops.

Advances in artificial intelligence opened up new possibilities to structure and scale the complex task of international labelling. On this basis, IMERO develops technology for food and cosmetics companies.

Today we continue to expand our AI and technology centre in the heart of Halle (Saale). Here, technology development and professional labelling expertise work in close collaboration.

Supported in further development

Our investors support the expansion of our technology, our team, and our location in Halle (Saale). This enables us to further integrate software development, expertise, and product work.

Impact

Structured support for companies and inspection authorities

For companies

IMERO helps teams to process labelling questions centrally, reduce recurring research, and better structure coordination between internal and external parties.

For inspection authorities

The technology can support official inspection authorities in analysing label content in a structured way and preparing relevant points for further professional review.

For consumers

Better-structured labelling processes can help make product information more understandable and transparent for consumers.

Our ambition is a technology that supports professional work, makes decisions more traceable, and keeps responsibilities clearly defined.
